Read-A-Thon: Keep Logging Minutes, and It’s Not Too Late to Join!
Keep logging those minutes, Irvington readers! All classrooms are doing a great job tallying their minutes and marching the school toward the school-wide goals! As of this moment, the school has logged 14,406 minutes.
It’s not too late to join in! You can still:
Make an account in Pledgestar and/or start logging minutes on the paper Reading Log. We have 100 registered readers and we know there are more Eagle Readers out there!
Ask for pledges from friends and family - we can collect donations throughout the event and the week after!
Check the PTA website (www.irvingtonschool.com) for daily Read-A-Thon progress updates, and/or the Pledgestar Leaderboard for the most up-to-date numbers and live-action classroom competition.
Seek out help if you need it! Email stephanie.m.vallance@gmail.com with any questions.

HTMS/Blazers Fundraiser
Going to the Blazers game this Sunday (January 28) or Monday (January 29)? Park nearby in the Harriet Tubman Middle School parking lot (2231 N Flint Ave). Your $20 donation will support the HTMS-PTSA and their student clubs. Parking lot opens one hour prior to game time.
Stranger Danger!
We've noticed an increase in the number of students who are talking to passers-by through the fence during recess. We are messaging to students that it is unsafe to talk strangers and hope you can reiterate this message at home.
