Welcome back! I'm sure that you have enjoyed getting to know your students and staff here at L.O. Kimberly! Here are some things you need to know about what's going on!
Circulation is full steam ahead! Classes can schedule a checkout whole class or small groups (no more than 5) for checkout or group projects. Students must come with a hall pass.
What the Tech? Great Tech for Teachers
Seesaw
Looking for an online student portfolio for the school year? Look no further than Seesaw! Video, pictures, voice recording and parent access. You can add work from other apps to this app. This is a great tool with online tutorials to learn how to best use them.
Shadow Puppet
Looking for a great project app! Look no further than Shadow Puppet! An app that allows students to add pictures, narration and edits to create a video project.
Flipgrid
Want to hear a student explain in their own voice? Welcome to Flipgrid! Now free to educators thanks to Google, students can give responses to their work in a short video. This is great for reader response and explaining steps in math in science just to name a few things you can do with it.

Adams Park Library
Don't forget to let your students know of events going on around in their neighborhood for them. Here are the events going on at our local library, Adams Park Library which is across the street from the YMCA.
Storytime with Junior League!
Held once a month, students can hear a story, make a craft and take home a free book!
Lego Club
Held once a month, students get to create with legos and have a snack. Creations are displayed in the library.
Who's that Media Specialist?
Who is this new media specialist anyway? Here's a little to know about me. I was born and raised in Atlanta, a product of Atlanta Public Schools (Collier Heights Elementary and Frederick Douglass High School). This year will my my 11th year in education where I previously worked in Fulton County Schools before coming to Atlanta Public Schools in 2013.
