Fall Parties
Things to remember:
-We ask that families spread out around the building and do not bunch up into small groups.
-Since we are outside, masks are not required for parents.
-Students may bring their costumes to school that day to change into, please make sure the parts of the costume they bring in, students are able to put on by themselves.
-For Costumes there should be no blood, no guts, no gore. Masks are okay as long as they are not scary.
-NO WEAPONS (Swords, sticks, sabors, guns etc.)
-Parents are Allowed for the Parade....Parents will not be able to come into the school and be a part of the party.
Classroom Parties:
-Parents unfortunately will not be allowed in the building for the fall parties. They will be allowed to attend the outside parade.
-Your student's classroom teacher will be contacting you about the fall party format and what that will look like and how you can sign-up to donate items. Be on the lookout!

Veterans Day FUN
We are so excited about Veterans Day at Riverview! Our students look forward to this special day each year to show our veterans how much we appreciate and value their commitment, service, and dedication to our country. Last year we began a new RE tradition with our car parade. We are ready to cheer for our veterans again this year! While we are not able to invite these special guests into the school for our assembly, we hope this parade will show all of you just how proud we are to call you family! The RE Veterans Car Parade will begin at 9:30 AM on November 11th. See the attached map for parade route. We encourage you to decorate your car to celebrate your veteran!
In addition to the parade, the 4th grade students will once again share a music program to celebrate Veterans Day! They have been working hard to prepare the music for this show and learn about the importance of Veterans Day. This group of students is excited to honor those who serve our country. After the performance for our students, a link will be sent out so that you will be able to see this amazing group of young musicians and celebrate with your family!

Attention RE Dads!
***WatchD.O.G.S. is back!!***
WatchD.O.G.S. (Dads Of Great Students) are dads, stepdads, grandpas, uncles, or other father figures who want to volunteer to serve at least one half-day helping at the school. WatchDOGS provide an extra set of eyes, ears, and hands at the school, helping with arrival or dismissal, lunchroom supervision, and recess supervision. They also assist teachers in the classroom, usually with reading and/or math, so they can actively engage with not only their own student(s), but other students as well. You will check in at the office and be provided a schedule. You don't need to bring anything; just show up ready to have fun and be a positive role model! Please click this link and complete the quick form if you are interested!

Message From Mrs. Munsey
Hello RE Families!
It’s hard to believe we have completed a month and a half of school already! As stressors arise, along with the emotional and physical weight the new school year can add, I hope you are finding ways to show kindness to others as well as to yourselves. Oct-4-8 is Peace Week. This is the Kansas Anti-Bullying Week. Our theme this year is “Bully Free looks like me”. October is the month we talk about making healthy choices, as well as introducing anti-bullying topics. During the months of October, and November, my focus will be on teaching lessons around respect, empathy, inclusion, kindness, and compassion. Another way we would like to celebrate kindness is through encouraging and recognizing efforts that go above and beyond that of our every-day courtesies. I am sharing with you a kindness challenge that is sure to be fun for students and adults alike (these can be completed individually or together as a family), because when we fill someone else’s bucket, we fill ours tool!
A kindness bingo cards attached that contains a month’s worth of activities that demonstrate and inspire kindness and acceptance. Please complete as many activities as possible and please participate in our spirit days. Together we keep our school bully-free.
Oct. 25-29, we will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week. Red Ribbon Week is the nation’s oldest and largest drug prevention program reaching millions of Americans during the last week of October every year. By wearing red ribbons and participating in anti-drug events, young people pledge to live a drug-free life and pay tribute to DEA Special Agent Enriqué “Kiki” Camarena who lost his life in the line of duty. His death started the RED RIBBON WEEK movement. We will also celebrate Red Ribbon Week with spirit days which will be posted this week and next in the Falcon Flyer.
