Gustav Klimt Inspired Trees
5th Grade
Klimt
Klimt was born July 14, 1862 in Austria. He was the second of seven brothers and sisters! His father was a gold engraver, as was his older brother. When Klimt began painting he mostly made wall and ceiling murals. Klimt's style changed a lot over time, when he was 30 years old his father passed away. This is when he developed the style that he is most known for, adding lots of gold embellishments.
Our Klimt Inspired Trees
To make their Klimt inspired trees the fifth grade students began by painting their background using a tint and shade of one color. Then focusing on using many different kinds of lines, patterns and designs they drew and out lined their trees. Lastly the students had the option to add metallic embellishments.
