Last Call for Student Materials Pickup
Please also return any library books your student may have taken home. We will be collecting these on Wednesday.
You may also return student work that has been completed.
The Mahanay staff will be practicing social distancing and wearing masks and gloves, and we ask that families remain in their vehicles. You will drive up to the gym side of the school and will tell the staff your child's/children's name(s), and we will bring a bag of their belongings to your vehicle. Their bags will include all of the belongings in their desks and any materials paid for such as STAAR shirts and pictures.
4th Grade Clap Out
We plan to do something similar this year.
Wednesday at 5pm, we will do a drive through clap out. The Mahanay staff will be lined up outside of the building with signs ready to clap out our 4th graders. You may line up in the car rider line along the side of the school. Once the car parade begins, we will lead you through the bus lanes and clap out your 4th graders as they head into the summer break. For safety purposes, we ask that everyone remain in their cars.
Please contact your 4th-grade teachers if you have any further questions.
Mrs. Murnane's Counselor Corner
Our counselor, Ms. Murnane, is still available to help with concerns and questions regarding mental health during this time of social distancing. She will be adding information and helpful resources to the newsletter each week.
Feel free to contact her using the information below:

In addition to the above methods of communication, you may also fill out a form that will go to our counselor, Mrs. Murnane. To access the form, click here: Online Alief ISD Counseling Request Form
Ms. Murnane has shared a special video below about safety near water this summer.
If your student is returning to Mahanay next year, you do NOT need to register again.
Although online registration is open now, we cannot do further paperwork until we are allowed back on campus. Our registrar Ms. Martin will begin contacting you to schedule meetings when we are allowed back on campuses again. Please email email@example.com if you have any questions.
