Medieval Times
Costume
Everyone dressed in normal or fancy or not medieval clothing (duh). Women wore long skirts and their shirts usually had lace ups in the front, or sometimes in the back, and always had long sleeves. Men wore tights and shirts that usually had a hood. Popular jobs for men included blacksmith and hunter. Hunters usually had a bow and quiver of arrows with them, or at least the arrows.
Food
Meals usually included lots of meat the family either raised themselves, or acasionally bought at the local market. They ate vegetables that they either grew or bought. Most families had herb and veggie gardens. They supplied all of their own food, unless the man of the house was busy with work and had no time to care for animals or hunt. Women always cared for the gardens and cooked. Most had plenty of time for this, as women rarely had jobs away from home. Every once in a while, a lady or girl would visit the market to make a purchase. Women were usually home kneading bread or washing clothes. They did everything by hand including washing and sewing. Rich families had servants to assist the women. Often royal's meals would include whole pigs, or hogs.
Games
There were many games played in the medieval days. The people held tournaments of all kinds. Many times the games required someone's death, human or animal. The games may have been deadly and brutal, but they served their perpose. Entertainment.
