This week we’ve had SNOW MUCH FUN!! :) Our new study has led to all kinds of exploratory play as the students created snowy habitats, built their own snowmen, read many snow related books, and more!
We focused on letter S for snow this week!
Some friends were making letters
Some found words that started with Ss
Some made Letters out of playdoh “snakes”
As part of our snow study, one small group had our friends adding “snow” to a tree picture.
Making name snowmen!
We like to review stories more than once and in multiple ways to help our friends make lasting connections. This is a retelling of The Snowy Day with felt pieces :)
We played a counting game - counting buttons to match the number on a snowman’s hat.
This week was chilly so we had some fun in the gym, matching mittens and moving our bodies with different exercises!!
We pulled out our mitten collection for some matching fun!
We read LOTS of snow books!
The children listened to a story, and then helped us feed the “old lady” until everything burst out of her and made a snowman!
We also played with a tiny snowman making kit - fun!

They even built their own snowman INDOORS and added facial features!!
