Did You Know?

The Akron School District installed new LED lights at the football field in February 2020 and at the baseball field in August of 2021. Both LED lighting packages were designed with the players in mind making the fields brighter and easier for the athletes to track the ball. Not only did these lights brighten the fields, but with the upgrade to LED it also saved the district money. These new energy-efficient fixtures saved 98.8 kilowatts at the football field where the baseball field saved 121 kilowatts. These lighting upgrades would not have been made possible without the assistance of Y-W Electric Association and Tri-State Generation & Transmission. Through these companies, the district received rebates on each project at approximately 43%, so what would have originally cost the district $107,312 only cost $60,744! Plus, Y-W and Tri-State installed and continue to maintain the lights for free. What a wonderful addition these lights have been to our facility and we are so thankful to have been able to partner with these companies!

Look and Live Forward

It's great to learn from the past but don't live there. Say thank you to what yesterday taught you and hello to the life you want to create today. Look and live forward. Create a vision of what you want to build, become, and do.
