We're looking for local businesses and professionals to partner with for our career fair on April 17th. The time commitment would be from 7:30am to 11am.
We are hoping to find local businesses to speak to our kids about their career fields and professionals who are able to offer insight to our students about resume building, soft skills, and interviews.
If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Emily Bardot at bardot.emily@wgmail.org or 918-4655.

Classroom Happenings
ELA- Mr. Jones
Students should be done with all four chapters in their Graphic Organizers (Author’s Craft, Characterization, Symbolism and Theme) for the Companion Book. This week we worked on our Introductions and Conclusions for each chapter, as well as our Preface (introduction to the Companion Book). When we come back from break we will begin the Revision/Editing stage.
On a separate note, students are able to Revise their graded Argument Writing Published Piece over the break (optional). I will send guidelines via email and Remind for revising.
My March Blog, “Spring Time. A Time to Grow” can be found here.
Science- Mrs. Creath
We have finished our Body Systems unit. The kids spent this last week making posters of the human body showing how body systems work together to help our bodies function. When we return to school the kids will present their posters, then they will have a test over boy systems.
Social Studies- Mrs. Pettid
This week students have focused on daily life in Ancient Rome. After completing guided research on the topic, students pretended that they were realtors selling Ancient Rome to potential residents and created brochures to advertise their city. Notebooks were checked on Thursday and should have included the Roman Timeline and notes from my website. When we return from break we will look at the accomplishments of the Romans and the Barbarian Invasions. Were they barbarians or refugees?
