January Team Incentive

One team member will receive an O2 Jewelry Bag! Any designer on this team who reaches personal volume of $99+ in the month of January will earn an entry. Please email me at jodiocken@gmail.com when you hit this goal to claim your entry into the drawing.

*To view your Personal Volume, log into the Back Office, click on Commissions, then Volumes, and it will list your Total PV for each month. If you have any questions, please let me know.

January Month-End Cut-off

The cut-off for the month of January is Thursday, January 31st at midnight EST.

{Hoot Loot} Remember you can earn $25 in Hoot Loot for every $250 in Personal Volume achieved for the month. Therefore, if you are close to the next $250 increment, it might make sense to place an additional order of inventory items that you want for your display or a few of your bestsellers to get that $25 credit. This Hoot Loot credit will be added to your account by the 10th of the following month to use on future orders. As always feel free to reach out to your mentor or myself with any questions you may have.

{Rank Promotions} There are several of you who have already hit or are close to getting a promotion for January. Your official title change in the back office and any bonus from commissions earned from your team are done on the 10th of the following month. If any of you need further clarification on what is needed, please reach out to your mentor or myself so we can help to ensure you reach your goal.

SOAR Regional Event

SOAR San Diego was very inspirational and I loved meeting all of the other OWLS that attended! I'm excited that our team will also be represented at SOAR in Nashville this coming weekend by a few team members. Please note that we were sworn to secrecy with the information we learned from this event until after Nashville. I encourage you all to get on the January 28th Corporate Webinar as they are supposed to be going over information received at the SOAR events.

Top 5 Tips

  1. BE A GOAL SETTER. What do you want to accomplish? Do you want to save for college educations for your children? A new car? A new home? You can have whatever you want, but you must want it enough to do the things that have to be done to get it. Whatever your goal, write it down and set a target date for reaching it. Divide the time period into blocks of achievement that are reachable. Work consistently toward accomplishing each day, each week, each month what you set out to do. Goal-setting is a must in every area of life. Little is ever accomplished without definite goals.

  2. BE A LIST MAKER. Each evening list all the things you want to get done the following day. That gives you an organized approach to each day. As each task is finished, mark it off your list. It is amazing how much gets done when one works with a “things-to-do” list. Also, have a notebook listing appointments, potential clients, repeat clients, and referrals, and keep it with you at all times. You will be adding to it constantly.

  3. BE ENTHUSIASTIC. Enthusiasm is the high-octane “fuel” that salespeople run on. Enthusiasm generates its own energy. Energy and good health are synonymous with busy, happy people, people who are achieving.

  4. RECOGNIZE THAT THE MAGIC WORD IN SALES IS “ASK”. In direct sales we don’t have to wait for business to come to us. We create our own business by asking for it. Ask for appointments, then you can do business. Ask for business, then you will close sales. Ask for referrals, then you always have a full list of potential clients. Be quietly, yet firmly aggressive.

  5. EXPECT NO’S. Realize that no’s are not personal. In sales, as perhaps nowhere else, the law of averages works. Every no gets you closer to a yes. Keep track of your ratio. It will help improve your techniques. Are you getting ten no’s to one yes? Is your ratio five to one? Remember, the yes’s are your income. Also remember that “no” does not necessarily mean “no.” Often a “no” is simply a stall for more time to think. It may be a request for more information about your product or your service. What your client is actually buying is assurance. Assure here by your helpful attitude and your complete honesty, that you want what is best for her. She will most likely respect you and do business with you.

Booking Tree

{Tip to help increase bookings} Select the dates/times that you want to hold a party and put them on index cards and put them on a booking 'tree' on your table.

Can also attach a FREE dangle so it looks more enticing to book a party. You might want to hold onto the Free dangle until their party so you can ensure they actually have their party. The Free dangle is a part of the standard Hostess Program anyways so not out anything additional.

NATIONAL Convention

Have you heard the news? We’re planning another BIG event and we want you to join us! Here’s the scoop…

When: July 12 & 13, 2013 (plan to arrive mid-day Friday and leave on Sunday)

Where: Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix, AZ

Early Registration: $175 – Registration will be open in February

Hotel: Make reservations now at the Sheraton, Downtown Phoenix. Rooms are $99 a night and can be booked by clicking here. The $99 discounted rate will be available until June 21. Discounted rooms are available from July 10 - 14 so you can extend your stay if you choose.
