Young Gentlemen's Club at GES

Young Gentlemen's Club

Greensboro School will be starting a Gentlemen's Club on January 23 that will meet for four (4) consecutive Thursdays from 4:00-5:30p. Invitations have already been distributed to 25 5th grade boys and their parents.

We're fortunate to have five (5) excellent coaches (2 police officers, a teacher, local business owner and a retired administrator). The Club will focus on manners, good hygiene practices, and life skills that will help these young men in life. Guest speakers will be a part of these meetings and include a dentist, doctor and even two students from Lockerman who will talk to the boys about being successful at Lockerman Middle School.

At the conclusion of the four sessions, there will be a dinner in which the student participants can invite guests and practice their manners and new learned skills.

From the Health Room...

Happy New Year the Flu Season is here! Please remember the following rules regarding your children and school:

*Child must be fever free for 24 hours WITHOUT the help of Tylenol or Motrin!

*Child may not come to school or return to school with diarrhea. They must be 24 hours without diarrhea before returning.

*Children must NOT bring medicine in to school with them! This includes cough drops, inhalers, cough medicine, etc.
