Remote Learning and Zoom
September 8, 2020
Dear Families of Remote Learners,
Daily Attendance- is taken each morning before or during the 7:40am Zoom Announcements with the Principal. Each remote student needs to answer the daily attendance question with their homeroom teacher before the announcements conclude.
Period Attendance- is taken at the beginning of each class. Attendance is taken several ways for each period. Some teachers ask an attendance question at the beginning of the period, some check to make sure the student is participating in the Zoom lesson, some use an exit ticket, while other use the completed classwork at the end of the period. Please make sure that the student is logging in on time to receive the credit for period attendance.
Students need to be on time for each class and daily attendance!
Parents, please make sure you are checking Progress Book regularly for both grades and attendance. If your child will be absent from Remote Lesson please make sure to call the office and report them absent.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Klaus
Here are the Remote Learner Schedules by Grade Level (The times are the same as the face-to-face learners.) It is very important for your child to be on time!
Specific Picture Day Information for Remote Learners:
On Picture Day we will be doing a Remote Learner Supply Pick Up that will include the Agenda Books, Handbook, and grade level materials. We will also be setting out a lost and found table that will include all of the clothing items that were left in the PE locker rooms this past March. Please make sure your child checks the lost and found tables because we will be sending all unclaimed items to the BNOC or Goodwill.
Picture times for Remote Learners on Wednesday, September 9th are as follows:
10:00am- 8th Grade
10:30am- 7th Grade
11:00am- 6th Grade
Pictures will be in the middle school gym. Parents can park on the side of the school by the middle school gym doors. Please wait for your student while they get their picture taken and grab their supplies. Students are required to wear masks as they enter the building. Students will take off masks for their pictures.
LIBRARY NEWS FOR REMOTE LEARNERS:
CURBSIDE PICK-UP: We will gladly loan school library books to our remote learners. Students can place holds on books in our library catalog and then pick them up following the guidelines on the library web page: https://www.clearfork.k12.oh.us/index.php/2014-03-12-15-59-00/library-media.
Pick-up is on Tuesday and Thursday and if these times don’t work, please email Mrs. Mottayaw @ mottayawd@clearfork.k12.oh.us.
LIBRARY FINES: Library fines from last year need paid by the end of the month. Bringing the exact change in an envelope marked with the student name on picture day would be a great way to clear students’ library accounts. Envelopes can be slipped under the library door.
