Scout Troop Service Project at Monon Trail Elementary
The Boy Scouts of America Troops 1910 and 1920 in Westfield did a service project at Monon Trail Elementary School. Due to the pandemic, the school's garden club hasn't been meeting and the garden become overgrown and weeded. The scout troop replaced the boards, weeded it, and planted some flower seeds to start the process of bringing the garden back to life!
Check out pictures of their hard work as well as impressive before-and-after photos.
What to Do if You Suspect a Disability
If you suspect your child may have a disability or have concerns related to your child’s IEP, please contact your child’s teacher, school principal or call the student services/special education office at 317-867-8006.
For children at least two and a half years of age, but not yet age-eligible for kindergarten, you should contact the Early Childhood Assessment Team at Washington Woods Elementary (317) 867-7900.

Apply for Financial Assistance
Even though school lunches are free to all students, to receive financial assistance for curricular materials (Chromebooks, textbooks, workbooks, classroom novels, online resources, and supplies like science lab chemicals, and art supplies) families still need to apply to the free and reduced program.
The application must be completed online. If you need access to a computer or assistance filling it out, please contact Gladys Salas at Central Office at 317-867-8002. Summer office hours are Monday-Thursday from 8am-4pm with a lunch break from 12:30pm-1:30pm.
If you do not qualify for the free and reduced program, there are payment plans designed to help parents pay their student(s) fees in smaller amounts.
