Welcome Back to School!

WWS COVID-19 Communication

This year, we will not maintain a COVID-19 dashboard. If you would like to see updated case numbers for your student’s school, the Indiana State Department of Health publishes up-to-date information (click here).

The district will put out a monthly communication to update the community on the state of the district with regard to COVID-19 and our procedures.

Celebration for Equity in Education

Big picture
Recently, student-led groups from Hamilton County school districts put on the second annual Celebration for Equity in Education. A group of Westfield Washington Schools students spoke at the event and some Shamrock staff and administration attended to show support. Several local businesses and organizations had booths at the event and showed up in support of the fact that "all means all."

Embrace the Chaos with Deborah Honeycutt

Big picture
Start off the school year with some inspiration and levity as Deborah Honeycutt, of 95.5FM's "Jim, Deb and Kevin," talks about how embracing the chaos can go a long way toward improving our mental health. There might even be some cake involved.

Scout Troop Service Project at Monon Trail Elementary

The Boy Scouts of America Troops 1910 and 1920 in Westfield did a service project at Monon Trail Elementary School. Due to the pandemic, the school's garden club hasn't been meeting and the garden become overgrown and weeded. The scout troop replaced the boards, weeded it, and planted some flower seeds to start the process of bringing the garden back to life!

Check out pictures of their hard work as well as impressive before-and-after photos.
