A Note From Ms. McCall
My name is Ms. McCall and this will be my second year teaching Second Grade. I graduated from Arizona State University with my bachelors in Early Childhood Education & Early Childhood Special Education. Since I was a little girl I knew I wanted to be a teacher, so I am very excited to continue this journey with each of you this year!
Some fun facts about me are: I love sunflowers and anything Disney! I am a dog mom to a heeler named Gunnar! The Arizona Coyotes and Philadelphia Eagles are my two favorite sports teams!
I am very excited to get to know each one of you this school year and grow together as a class! It is going to be a GREAT year!
Love,
Ms. McCall

Homework
If your child forgets their math homework...
1. Google Engage New York
2. Click Mathematics Curriculum Files
3. Click the Mathematic Curriculum Files Archive
4. Click Grade 2
5. Select the Module and Lesson we are currently on
You can always find what Module and Lesson we are on, in my Peek At Our Week document above. You can either print it off or have your child write their answers on a separate sheet of paper.
Ways To Help At Home
- Make sure your child is reading at least 15 minutes per day! This is the single most important thing you can do for your child's success. Books that are within 100 points of their Lexile (give or take) are best.
- Practice addition and subtraction at home! Flashcards or online math games are a great fun way to practice our math skills.
- Practice the weekly spelling words. Create flashcards or make a game out of them.
- Check their math homework- make sure they are showing their work and are on track. They will always have their Problem Set to look back on for help if needed.
- Be your child's #1 Fan!
