Happy New Year!
Please remember to send your student in seasonally appropriate clothing, including jackets and outerwear, as they come to school each day. We will continue to go outside for recess as much as possible if the windchill is above 20 degrees. If your student does not have a coat or outerwear, please fill out the Google Form here and we would be happy to provide one.
With colder temperatures comes an increase in colds and flu-like illnesses, we ask that you please monitor your student for signs of illness and keep them home when they are sick. Please contact our school nurse's office at extension 120 with any questions or concerns.

Please make sure your child comes to school with a mask. We are providing dozens of students with masks daily and are running low on inventory. We have ordered more masks but appreciate your efforts to provide your child with one before leaving for school. We appreciate your support with this matter.
Please call the attendance line (708) 447-8030, option 2 if your child will NOT be in attendance.

Winter Preschool Screening
Thursday, Jan. 13th, 8:30am
8940 West 24th Street
North Riverside, IL
We are planning to hold our second preschool screening this winter on Thursday, January 13th. We will also have an additional preschool screening in April.
Preschool screening is designed to assess a child's development and assist in identifying children who may require further evaluation to determine eligibility for special education services or those who may be eligible for a state-funded preschool program. Your child must be at least two and one half years old to attend a screening. The screenings are by appointment, and at no cost to families.
Please click HERE to complete the Preschool Screening Interest Form and someone will be in touch to with you to schedule an appointment for January 13.
If you have concerns about your preschool age child's development, please feel free to reach out to Dr. Janka, Director of Student Services, at any time. Her phone number is 708-447-8030, x115 and email is firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our winter benchmarking assessment window will be from Monday, January 24 - Friday, February 4. The purpose of these assessments is to measure student growth from fall to winter, as well as to help inform teacher instruction and identify students who would benefit from additional classroom supports.
Beginning this week, all K-8 students should be bringing their school-issued device back and forth from school daily. We ask that you please ensure that these devices are charged when they come back to school each day. These devices are important learning tools for your student, and forgotten or dead devices can disrupt instruction. Thank you so much for your cooperation!
