Johnson Museum Field Trip! by Marlea Monroe
The third grade went on a field trip to the Johnson Art Museum on the Cornell University campus. It was really fun. There was a guide that took us around to look at different paintings and sculptures. We wrote about what we thought was happening in the pictures and sculptures. In the Asian section we saw how to make ink using powder and water and a special ink tool. It was really cool. Then the guide let us use a special brush with the ink to make little lines on the paper. At the end we went to the bottom floor where we saw all different art behind glass cases. We had to study one piece and tell why we liked it.
Fourth Grade Studies Explorers!
We started studying explorers in Fourth grade at the beginning of March. Mr. Brooks dressed up like the explorer Samuel De Champlaine and Mrs. Blood dressed up like the explorer Giovanni Da Verrazzano. Samuel De Champlaine discovered Lake Champlaine and Giovanni Da Verrazzano discovered the land that is now New York City. Later people built a bridge in NYC called the Verrazzano Bridge.
It was a very fun day!
Read Across America Day at Enfield Elementary School
Read Across America is Dr. Seuss' birthday. At Enfield School parents and teachers read books to celebrate the book " Oh The Places We'll Go!" by Dr. Seuss to all of the classes. Some classes made Cat in the Hat costumes and the cafeteria served green eggs and ham! All across America on March 2nd schools were celebrating Read Across America Day.

Science Night ! by Haylee Thompson
Science Night!!
On the night of Feb 12th at Enfield Elementary, workers from the Science Center came to school. People who came in the freezing weather (it was cooooold) were happy they came. They learned how to make gliders and learned about momentum and weight. It was fun I learned how to make a flyer and did some other really cool projects. Thanks Science Center of Ithaca!

Sleepover Tips for Kids By Chloe Greco
If your going to a sleepover with someone make sure you bring a sleeping bag and a pillow just in case. Also ask your parents first. Make sure it is safe.
Sometimes you can play games and watch movies. Popcorn can be a tasty snack while watching the movie. Then it's story time. After story time its bed time. You do not sleep in your house in the sleepover you sleep at the persons house. Good night don't let the bed bugs bite!Spring Book Fair at Enfield School by Sanibel Cropf
