Preston Hollow Shines
I met with the feeder pattern and our cluster Network (Hillcrest, White, Conrad, & Jefferson). We were able to discuss positive surprises and areas of need for continued focus. I cannot express the joy that our campus grew in EVERY subject on the ACP as a campus K-5th. We are showing the greatness of what it means to be a member of Preston Hollow Elementary. In discussing and presenting our data in the meeting and to review all the work that each of yall have done to make this year become Great, I was reminded of this poem:
Our Deepest Fear
Our Deepest Fear is the not that we are inadequate,
Our Deepest Fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our Light, not our Darkness,
That most Frightens us.
We ask ourselves,
Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small
Does not Serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking
So that other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We are meant to shine,
As children do.
We were born to make manifest,
The glory of God is within us.
It’s not just in some of us;
It is in everyone.
And as we let our own lights shine,
We unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we’re liberated from our own Fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others.
Onward!
