Lions Roar
Family and Community Newsletter for St. Helens High School
Friday, September 7, 2018
Our second day started with a short welcome assembly by our administrative staff for all students, some reminders of school expectations to get the year started right and then right to classes. You could feel the excitement with students building relationships with students and staff and learning about their new classes.
We capped off the week with a whole school Welcome Assembly, where we learned routines to drum cadences led by our marching band, school spirit chants, staff vs. student games, and class competitions. We reviewed our expectations for behavior at sports events and reinforced the importance of positive leadership in our community. I was so impressed by their level of engagement and positivity. This will be a FANTASTIC year!
