BOOK FAIR
The Monte Vista Book Fair begins on Thursday, October 13th and runs through Tuesday, October 18th. 25% of all proceeds go back to our school. This money is used by our ASB (student council) for events throughout the year. Class visitation schedule and general information is posted below. A hard copy of the schedule will be sent home on Thursday, October 6th. After school shopping will be available on Tuesday 10/18 from 2:30-5:30pm.
WALKTOBER
Monte Vista will be celebrating Walktober for the entire month of October. Walktober encourages people to get out and start walking more. Here is a calendar of special activities to help your family celebrate in style. We will also have a special celebration in the morning of the International Walk to School Day on October 12th. We will be meeting families at Two Strike Park at 7:40 am to walk to school together. We have also given students a challenge to reduce the cars in Monty Lane by 30% on Walk to School Day. On Friday September 30, we had 166 cars in Monty Lane. If we can have fewer than 116 cars on October 12, all students will earn extra recess time.
Let’s get out and walk Monte Vista!
KOREAN DUAL LANGUAGE IMMERSION TOURS

Glendale Unified's Dual Language Immersion programs require an application - click here to apply. The application window for the 2022-23 school year will be November 1, 2022 through January 31, 2023.

Thank you to everyone who has joined our PTA! We had 840 people join our PTA (281 signed up through Totem & 559 through envelopes) and achieved way above our school goal of 100% membership! All 27 classes got at least 100% participation in joining PTA Membership, therefore all students have earned a popsicle party on Friday, October 14th! ~ Mary Klausner
