Library News

It has been a busy beginning to the year here in the Clarks Creek Library! We are excited about all of the things we have going on.

We are looking for volunteers to help in the library starting immediately. Ms. Wright needs people to help with book checkout and shelving any morning of the week. If you can help between 9:00-11:00 (for all or part of that time), please e-mail swright@plainfield.k12.in.us and include “Volunteering” in the subject line. You may also call 839-0120. All volunteers must complete a limited criminal history check; forms are available at the office.

Broadcast Club

Fifth grade students have had the chance to audition for the Clarks Creek Broadcast club. Each morning Broadcast club members come to the library to broadcast announcements live to the entire school. Our club members do a wonderful job of keeping the student body up to date on birthdays, the lunch menu, upcoming events, and other news!

And much more . . .

In addition, students have been busy learning basic library skills, checking out books for fun and for class projects, enjoying storytime, learning about biographies and historical fiction, creating book reviews, and joining the Junior Librarian program (4th and 5th grade).
