McKinley Minute
Week of August 26th
First Week of School
McKinley students rocked the first week of school! Staff and students had smiles on their faces all week as they danced down the halls in the morning to Baby Shark and Can't Stop This Feeling! Our Pre-school and Kindergarten students did a fabulous job adjusting to their new classroom and routines. We are thrilled to have them join our McKinley family. Please feel free to contact me at the office if you have any questions or concerns.

Dismissal
Safety
Thank you to everyone for your patience as we work through the dismissal process. Students and staff have been working hard to move quickly to get everyone picked up in a timely manner. Please remember that our community members need to be able to pull in and out of their driveways during the pick up process and appreciate not being blocked in. Thank you to everyone who is aware of the little ones moving around cars as they drive slowly through the pick up line.

Thank You
I would like to take a moment to thank all the staff, students and parents who have made me feel so welcomed at McKinley. I feel blessed to work with such an amazing group of educators who have helped make my adjustment back to the elementary school a pleasant one. Your children have been tremendous! I love their smiles and excitement for learning, they have even tolerated my excitement to dance down the hall with them each morning. ( some have some serious dance moves.) Finally , thank you to the parents who have reached out to welcome me and show their kindness in supporting this change for me. I greatly appreciate being given this opportunity to work at such an amazing school.
