Edward Hudson, Jr. - 8th Grade Assistant Principal

Greetings and Salutations! I am so excited about serving the Heartland community and providing guidance and support as your 8th Grade Administrator. I am a product of Oklahoma City and attended Classen SAS. After graduating Valedictorian and becoming an Oklahoma Academic Scholar, I attended the University of Central Oklahoma and received my degree in Instrumental Music Education & Psychology. During my time at UCO, I served as a TA at Clegern Elementary under the tutelage of Bill Powell and Christy Holloway. Following my time at UCO, I served as the Director of Bands at Putnam City West HS where I also served as the Performing Arts department chair. During my tenure, I served on several committees including: Guiding Coalition, Leadership and Learning Team, and the Southern Regional Educational Board, and PLC Team lead. I received my advanced degree in Educational Leadership focusing on Curriculum, Administration, and Supervision from the University of Oklahoma and graduated at the top of my class. I have been married to my wonderful wife Michelle for the past 3 years, and have two beautiful girls, Eliza (18 months) & Carmen (11 years). I look forward to building a great relationship with each of you and continuing the trajectory of excellence that is the Edmond standard!

Paul McQueen - 7th Grade Assistant Principal

Started teaching in 1999 in Broken Arrow. Moved to Ponca City in 2006 to be the AP of East MS. In 2015, I remarried and moved to OKC to be the Principal of Western Heights High School. After 3 years I returned to the classroom to teach Science at Cimarron MS. My wife taught K/Pre-K for 23 years at Greenvale Elementary. This year, she will be teaching 2nd grade at Hilldale Elementary. We have 2 boys from my first marriage. Riley is 15 and will be a Sophomore at Ponca City HS. He plays Football, Basketball, and is training in Powerlifting. Connor is 17 and will be a Senior. He is active in the Band and Orchestra playing the Alto Sax, Tenor Sax, Cello, Bassoon, and Bass Guitar. Dur his Junior year, Connor was the Co-Drum Major. He is planning on studying Pre-med after graduation.
When not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family, woodworking, home improvement, restoring antique tools, and tracing my family history.

Leavi Everett - 6th Grade Geography

Hello! My name is Leavi Everett and I just graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University. I grew up in Edmond, graduated from Edmond North High School, and am back home teaching. I student taught this last Spring in 6th grade Social Studies. I am so excited to teach 6th Grade Geography for a full year, because I love teaching students about the world around them. It's so fun to see students get excited when learning about new places! I am the youngest of 3, and I have 2 older brothers. We have lived in Edmond the majority of my life and I am so excited to get to give back to the EPS School District that produced me! My mom has taught multiple subjects at Sequoyah Middle School for the last 24 years. EPS truly prepared me for college, and I am so thankful to work here.

Jimmy Bullock - Computer Science

Hello, my name is Jimmy Bullock. I am the new computer science teacher and softball coach. A little about me: I enjoy playing and watching sports, I am a sneaker head and I love video games. I collect all systems and games, old or current. I have been married for 21 years to my wife, Jessica. We have 2 kids, Isac and Jordan. Jordan is 21 and is at UCO and Isac is 22 and working. I have been teaching for 7+ years, all here in Edmond. I was a 5th grade teacher at Russell Dougherty for 6 years teaching Math, Science, Reading and Language Arts and I spent last year as a 6th grade math teacher at Central. I am excited to be a Thunderhawk and look forward to meeting you all.

Sondra Adams - 7th Grade ELA

Hello! My name is Sondra Adams. I am so excited to be teaching English at Heartland this year! I am originally from Pennsylvania and moved to Arkansas about 13 years ago. I just spent the last 11 years teaching Literacy in Northwest Arkansas. My husband, Sam, 8 year old son, Hayden, and I are new to the Edmond area. We are so excited to call Edmond our home!

Amy Frame - 8th Grade ELA

Hello, my name is Amy Frame, and I am so excited to join the Heartland community! I am the wife to Dave and Mom to Jack (13) and William (12). We have two dogs, Chewie, a standard poodle, and Milo, a maltipoo. We are a very busy sports family. My boys love basketball, football, baseball, and soccer. We also enjoy watching Thunder basketball and OU football. Sometimes, I kind of feel like I live in a frat house, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I love being a boy mom! I was a member of the very first graduating class of Edmond Santa Fe in 1996, and I graduated from UCO in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary English Education. I also have a second degree from Newman University in Pastoral Ministry. I love teaching and continuing to learn!

Tracy Wilmes - Art

I am Tracy Wilmes and very excited to be your new art teacher! I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Art Education from Eastern Illinois University and have been teaching art for the past 28 years. I also studied printmaking at Savannah College of Art and Design, did post-secondary work at the University of North Florida, and was a candidate for the National Board Certification. Additionally, I have been a mentor at ArtSpace at Untitled located in downtown OKC, taught evening adult pottery classes at Edmond Fine Arts Institute, and owned and operated Cup O’ Pottery art studio in Orlando, Florida. My family and I moved to Oklahoma 2 and a half years ago from the state of Florida.

Emily Goodin - 8th Grade Math/USH

I grew up in western Colorado and moved to Edmond after graduating from Oklahoma Christian University in 2019 with a degree in Elementary Education. I am married to my best friend, Jack and we have a new puppy and two hilarious cats. My mom still lives in Colorado and my husband’s family lives here in Edmond. He is a quintuplet, and we are adding two more in-laws to the family this year to make 9 total siblings. I spent my first three years of teaching across the street at Frontier Elementary. I taught 5th grade math and science. I am excited to enter the middle school atmosphere and learn a lot this year!

Tanae Clark - Special Education

I am married to my best friend, Jeff and I have 5 children, Ashlyn-25, Kolby-18, Kyla-18, Lylah-12 and Emersyn 8. I homeschooled my kids for 15 years and ran a successful homeschool co-op for 8 years before entering public education. My first official teaching gig was with Epic Charter Schools where I taught grades Pre-k through 12th as well as a weekly direct instruction class for middle schoolers. After Epic, I moved to Santa Fe High School, but I missed middle schoolers so I decided to move to Heartland next year. I am super excited for this new adventure and ready to make some new friends!!

I grew up in Kansas, but I have lived in Edmond for the past 21 years. I have four kids--a daughter at OSU, a son at Texas Tech, a daughter at Santa Fe High School, and a son at Heartland. I have had a student at Heartland since the first day it opened, and I'm excited about the opportunity to teach at Heartland!

Garrett McManaman - 7th Grade Geography

I am 23 years old and am a recent graduate of OC. I love sports, music, and enjoying spending time with others. My mother has been a teacher for almost 30 years now, and my father works in business. Both of my parents are foundational rocks in my life. I have three brothers and two sisters, one being my oldest brother Zach. Grace, Hannah, Preston, and Landon are all younger than me. This is my first year teaching and I am ecstatic to get the year started!

Lauren Owen - Family & Consumer Sciences

After graduating from UCO with a B.S. in Family Life Education in 2012, I spent five years working in social services before transitioning to public education in the fall of 2018. I have spent the past four years teaching Family and Consumer Sciences and advising over FCCLA and StuCo at Guthrie Junior High. Although that was an amazing experience, I am so excited to be a Heartland Thunderhawk!

Mandy Devastey - 7th Grade Math

Hello, my name is Mandy DeVastey. I am originally from Texas but moved to Oklahoma in 2018 with my husband and our 2 children. I have been in education for 10 years and I’ve spent the last 4 years teaching Math at Cimarron Middle School. I love teaching Math while making it fun for my students. I am excited to join the Heartland family as a Thunderhawk and am looking forward to a great year!

Colleen Roesslein - 8th Grade Science/USH

My name is Colleen Roesslein. I am originally from Commerce, OK, a small town in the Northeast corner of Oklahoma. I graduated from Pittsburg State University with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I have lived here in Edmond for the past 17 years with my husband Steve. We have a son, Colton, who is 13 yrs old and is a Thunderhawk as well. I love to spend time with my family, making crafts on my silhouette, relaxing when I can and attending my son’s sporting events. My favorite color is orange. My favorite drink is Coke Zero. I am so excited to be a Heartland Thunderhawk this upcoming school year!

Loryn Coppedge - 7th Grade Science

Hello! My name is Loryn Coppedge and I am so excited to be joining the Heartland team! I grew up in Sand Springs, OK and moved to Edmond for college. I graduated from UCO with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education and Dance Education and I am currently pursuing my Master's in Library Media Education. I have taught for 2.5 years and have taught 5th, 4th, and 3rd grades, and I am excited to be moving to middle school. My last two years were spent at Sunset Elementary here in Edmond. I also teach dance at Sweet Yield Studio in OKC. I love reading, traveling, and being outdoors.

I graduated from McPherson College (KS) where I played two collegiate sports. I have taught in Kansas, Colorado and Texas. I am excited to join the Thunderhawk family!

Kelly Odom - 8th Grade Science

I come from a long line of teachers. My parents and step parents were teachers, and I have two cousins, and an aunt who are teachers. My other aunt was a school administrator for a private school. I have 16 years under my belt with experience in elementary, middle, and high school with most of that in title 1. I have taught Visual Art, FACS, and Science.
I love teaching and I love learning. I'm always willing to try new things and believe that if I'm exited about what we are learning the students will be too.

I have been with my husband, Tyler, for 12 years. We have 2 children, Christian and Lyllyann. This will be my 13th year in education. I taught math for 6 years and for the last 6 years have been an assistant principal at a high school in Ponca City.

Moriah Winfrey - 7th ELA/6th Literacy

Though I am coming from Texas, I grew up and received my education from Edmond schools. I currently have four years of teaching high school Honors/Academic 10th grade ELA under my belt, but I am very much looking forward to getting back to middle school since that is where I started out with my student teaching experience and as a long-term substitute-- just before being contracted in TX. I've been married for 3 years-- going on 4-- and my son, Greyson, just turned one year. Additionally, we have two pets, a cat (Cora) and a dog (Milo). I am SO looking forward to joining the team at Heartland Middle School!
