2022 SEAC Awards
Congratulations SEAC Award Winners!
The Riverside Ramily continues the tradition of recognizing those who go the extra mile to include students with exceptional needs in all aspects of our community. The Special Education Advisory Committee solicits nominations from across the county to “honor educators, programs, parents, and students who go above and beyond what is typical and expected to positively impact and set a standard of excellence for the success of students with disabilities.”
Congratulations to the following Rams who earned a SEAC Award:
- Outstanding Special Education Teacher: Susan Matyuf
- Outstanding General Education Teachers: Adrienne Tomlinson & Augusta Dadiego
- Outstanding Inclusive School Club Award: Kevin Weeren & Varsity Club
- Outstanding Peer Student Award: Mackenzie Oliver
All are invited to celebrate with our winners at the SEAC Award Ceremony on June 1, 2022 at 6:30pm in the RVH auditorium.

RVHS 2022 Yearbook
Yearbooks will be shipped to the school on June 3rd and distributed to Juniors, Sophomores, and Freshman during lunch shifts on the week of June 6th. If you have any questions concerning the yearbook, please contact our yearbook adviser, Mr. Dan Wojcik, at dan.wojcik@lcps.org.

Graduation is Right Around the Corner!
Dear Seniors, Parents, and Guardians;
It is hard to believe that we are less than fifty (50) calendar days away from graduation, Friday, June 17, 2022. As Seniors work towards closing this collective chapter of their lives, there are a few things that we need your help in completing.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Senior Slides...Seniors Please Complete! : Currently, only 151 seniors have submitted their slide that's to be presented on graduation! You only need to upload a youth picture, provide your first and last name, and post-graduation plans. Do not change fonts or spacing. All slides will be verified by Mr. Anderson, our principal, so please be sure they are school-appropriate. We will upload the yearbook senior photos. Submit your Google Slide using the link below.
*Be sure that share properties to your slide are set to VIEW by all LCPS parties.
DUE BY MAY 6TH

Senior Checklist: Please see this link to check your progress on required items that are due prior to graduation. The link can also be accessed here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1nM3qDL_Y0FAeHtGWqSZuln34g5XaLAnI21kWlZZz3rY/edit

Graduation Caps and Gowns: The deadline to order caps and gowns was Tuesday, February 15; the deadline was then extended to Friday, March 1. If you did not order a cap and gown, please see me as soon as possible. Additionally, in years past, Balfour used an outside vendor to supply our graduation gowns. This year, Balfour has moved its cap and gown operation ‘in-house’. For those of you who have an older sibling/student who have graduated form Riverside and are thinking of using a previously purchased set of cap and gown, there is a slight chance that the colors of this year’s cap and gown do not match exactly.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Graduation Tickets: In the event of inclement weather on June 17th, our graduation ceremony will be moved inside to our main gym. If that is the case, each graduate will receive four tickets. Additionally, we will stream the graduation ceremony into our auditorium, and possibly into our library, where tickets are not needed. If the ceremony is held outdoors (as expected and hoped for) in our stadium, there is no cap on the number of guests that each graduate may have.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
