Electromagnets

What is ElectromagnetS
Acts on objects that have an electric charge around an object. Electromagnetism denotes the interaction between electrical fields or currents with magnetic fields .
How Does It Work
Unlike a permanent magnet, the streangth of an electromagnet can easily be changed by chasing the amount of electric current that flows through it. The poles of an electromagnet can ever be reversed by reversing the flow of electricity. An electromagnet works because an electric current produces a magnetic feild.
Who Invented It

His invention was a 7-once (200-gram) magnet that was able to support 9 pounds (4 kilograms) of iron using the current from a single battery. Later in life he lectured at colleges and published the first English journal devoted to electricity.
