Remote Learning Enrollment/Changes for the Second Quarter
Parents/Guardians interested in changing the educational learning environment for their child(ren) for the second quarter must complete
THIS FORM. It is for any students wanting to return to in-school learning and/or those wanting to switch to remote learning.
- This form needs to be completed ONLY if you are making a change to the student's learning environment.
- Deadline to apply is 3 pm on October 2.
- Any students failing more than one subject or having a total of 30 hours worth of absences during the first quarter will not be permitted to participate in remote learning.
Officer Tibbs Shares Emergency Lessons with Students
We were happy to welcome Officer Damian Tibbs from the Allen County Sheriff's Office to the middle school on Monday. Officer Tibbs gave a presentation to the students on ALICE Emergency/Intruder Training. ALICE Training is the standard for emergency preparedness using the acronym ALICE for Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter and Evacuate. Thank you, Officer Tibbs for helping inform our Elida students to keep us safe, alert and prepared!
Fall Sports Programs On Sale
The Elida Athletic Department has copies of the fall sports program available for $3.00 each. With the limited number of spectators allowed at events, we have many available. These high quality programs have great photos of the athletes, the teams from all the fall sports including soccer, volleyball, golf, tennis, cross country, football and information about the local sponsors and supporters of Elida Athletics! Anyone interested can purchase a program between 8:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday in the Athletic Office in the High School.
New Elementary Weekly Update
What a busy week at the new elementary construction site! You may have seen as concrete was being poured for the gym roof. See the photo of Supt. Mengerink & Treasurer Joel Parker watching as it was being poured. The weather is certainly cooperating for which we are grateful. Other work also includes installation of ductwork, plumbing, veneer and more. See the complete weekly update available here.
TEAM DAY!
The annual Team Day was held in the middle school today with lots of fun and team-building activities. Students played bingo, board games and Kahoot trivia games to compete with for prizes! A video-presentation was shown to the students on internet safety from a representative from ONU. The presentation will be available to online learners, as well. Some teachers even dressed-up special for the day. (see Mr.Bryan below! :))
Parent/Teacher Conferences in High School
High School Conferences are scheduled for next Wed., September 30th between 4:00-8:00 pm. Call Laura Fingerle to schedule appointments with your child's teachers. 419-331-4115. Anyone who would prefer a virtual conference should contact the teachers directly. .
The 300 CLUB RAFFLE Supports Student Scholarships
The Elida Educational Foundation is sponsoring the
"300 Club" Raffle again this year. Tickets are just $20! Three winners are drawn at each monthly School Board meeting. $75- $50- $25. There are 36 chances to win and you can win again in each drawing. To purchase contact Joel Parker, Treasurer

Good News Reminder: Free Meals for ALL On-site Students!
ALL STUDENTS who are attending on-site are eligible for FREE MEALS through the end of the calendar year or until USDA funding runs out. Breakfast and lunch! This does not include ala carte or extra items - those items must still be paid for.
PARENT REMINDER: Sign-Up for Schoology
Schoology is the platform used for students AND PARENTS to communicate with teachers, access lessons and assignments, to receive messages from the principals and the district and for viewing grades and weekly reports.
