Falcon Flash

Principal's Message
Hello Stetson Families,
Welcome and welcome back Stetson families! This is the first edition of our weekly Falcon Flash newsletter. For those families new to us this year, this newsletter provides vital information to help you navigate the many events and information at Stetson. I sent several emails over the last month to help prepare for opening day and all that information can also be found below. We are asking parents to read this newsletter weekly in its entirety before reaching out to the main office. Our ladies in the office are busy helping students with their immediate needs. The Falcon Flash will be in your inbox on Friday afternoons to help prepare students and families for the upcoming week.
We were so excited to welcome back our teachers this past week! They spent many hours prepare their classrooms, receiving technology updates, and professional development opportunities. While we can't see their smile under their mask, they are eagerly anticipating the return to in-person instruction on August 30th. The school looks great and the staff is excited to see our hallways busy with socializing students once again!
Students should bring their computer (fully charged), a writing utensil, and an agenda book or a small notebook to write information down in. They do not need to bring all supplies (including gym uniforms) on the first day of school. Our teachers will discuss appropriate supplies for each class and when to bring them to school.
I hope you got a chance to look over Dr. Sokolowski's email and the WCASD health and safety plan for the start of the school year. Please make sure your child comes to school (including riding the school bus) wearing a mask (no gaiters). The face-covering must cover their nose and mouth when they are inside the school building. We will be providing outdoor mask breaks during the school day during lunch and PE classes (weather permitting). If your child is struggling with wearing a mask, they can ask for a break from their teacher at any time.
Lunch will be provided in two locations this year, the cafeteria and LGI (auditorium). All students will be seated three feet apart facing one direction. During the last ten minutes, the students will have an outdoor break (weather permitting). In each of the lunch locations, the students will have an opportunity to select their seats.
Thanks for your time and attention in reading this week's edition!
Have a great weekend,
Mrs. Puchalla
