I hope this week's newsletter finds you all well on this 21st Anniversary of the September 11th attacks. Please take a moment to honor and pay tribute to those who lost their lives on this fateful day back in 2001. The 9/11 National Memorial & Museum webpage has extensive resources available for youth and families - please CLICK HERE to access their webpage with several at-home activities to honor local heroes and information on how to talk to children about terrorism.

It was awesome to see so many of you this past Wednesday night at Back to School Night! I know our teachers enjoyed meeting their students' parents, sharing a little about the course they teach and themselves, and getting to share why they love working with your students! Thank you to our PTSA President Mikki Trusheim and Foundation President Kym Sosnowski for welcoming our parents and sharing how they can get involved at TPMS. Information for both the PTSA and Foundation, including meeting dates and times for this year's meetings, can be found at the bottom of the newsletter.

Our 6th Grade WEB Carnival originally scheduled for Friday, September 9th unfortunately had to be rescheduled to Friday, September 16th because of the inclement weather. All tickets that have already been sold for the event will be honored on 9/16. Ticket sales will be reopened this Monday-Wednesday for students who would still like to purchase a ticket; refunds will be given for students who are no longer able to attend. Tickets for this event may NOT be transferred from student to student because a parent permission slip is required for your student to attend. All ticket sales and refunds will take place during lunch in the WEB room (#301) and tickets sales will end on Wednesday, September 14th after lunch. Congratulations to Mrs. Stephanie Cole for being selected as the next parent member of the TPMS School Site Council! Mrs. Cole will serve in this position for the next two years along with Mr. Gert Brits and Mrs. Nichole Jones, who are serving for their 2nd year on the SSC. Thank you to all 6 of our amazing candidates for their willingness to serve on the Council, and to all of our parents who voted in this year's election!

Get your tickets NOW for the TPMS Foundation's Fall Social on Friday, September 23rd at Second Chance Brewery from 6-9pm. Please plan on coming out to meet other TPMS parents, spend time with some of our amazing staff, and have some fun while raising money to support our students and campus. To purchase your pre-sale tickets before September 22nd, please click on the Foundation Fall Social event flyer below - I look forward to seeing you all at Second Chance in a few weeks!

Finally this week, our TPMS Counseling Department will be hosting the TPMS College and Career Fair on Wednesday, November 16th during lunch. We would love to have our very own TPMS parents involved - if you work for a local company or business who would like to participate, or have a career pathway that would be interesting to share with middle schoolers, please complete the TPMS College and Career Fair Interest Form LINKED HERE. We plan on having the event during both lunches, so participants would need to be available from 12:30-2pm. Please email one of our counselors if you have any questions about this event.
