The Latest On PUSD School Closures
We are thinking of our students and families during these unprecedented times. We miss seeing you and hope you and your familes are healthy and safe.
On Thursday, March 26th, Superintendent Dr. Marian Phelps sent an email to all PUSD families with the latest with PUSD. Please click here to view this communication.
As a reminder, PUSD has compiled additional learning resources for all grade levels including math, language arts, social studies, and science, as well as art and P.E. The site also offers sample daily/weekly schedules that you can customize for your own family. Click here to access these resources.
We will be sure to notify you of any changes. MVMS is adhering to the governor's stay-at-home order therefore our campus continues to be closed. There will be no staff on-site to assist parents or students during this time.
Intradistrict Transfers
8th Grade Students: If you wish to transfer to a high school that is NOT your school of residence, you must submit a request during the transfer window of February 1 - March 31, 2020. See Information for 8th Graders section below for more details.
If you moved during the 2019-2020 school year and your school of residence changed, you must also submit a request during this transfer window.

PUSD 2020-2021 Continuing Student Registration is Coming in April
The online Continuing Student Registration website will be open April 1 - April 30, 2020. Parents and Guardians will receive email notification once the website is open. A completed digital packet must be received for all returning students. This will allow for proper placement of your student for the 2020-2021 school year. This annual digital process will allow a family to complete one single “family” packet instead of completing one packet per student. Packets can be completed using any computer, tablet or smartphone with an internet connection. If you do not have access to any computing device or internet connection, your student’s school will provide access to complete the packet.
In preparation of this process, now is the time to confirm that you know your parent login username and password. This information will be needed to complete the registration packet. Please take a moment and ensure you can login to https://sis.powayusd.com . If you do not know your username and/or password, you can visit https://password.powayusd.com to retrieve your login credentials.
If you do not plan to return to PUSD for the 2020-2021 school year, please notify us as soon as possible. Click here to email our Registrar's Office.

INFORMATION FOR 8TH GRADERS
8th Grade Transition To High School
It’s that time of year that we begin to start planning for our 8th graders transition to high school. If you have an older child and have been through this, you are probably more at ease than a parent who is approaching this transition for the first time. Our 8th graders often feel great anticipation and excitement as they make the last major transition within their K-12 education. We hope that the information below eases any questions that you might be having. The MVMS Counselors and HS Counselors are here to help and guide you and your 8th grader through this transition.
