Kiwanis Klassic Family Movie Night

The next Kiwanis Klassic Family Movie Night is Sunday, December 13, 2015, and the Kiwanis Club of Danville will be showing "It's a Wonderful Life." Showtime is 7:00pm.

This 1947 classic stars James Stewart and Donna Reed, telling the story of an angel who helps a compassionate but despairingly frustrated businessman by showing what life would have been like if he never existed. The movie is rated PG and has a 130-minute run time.

Tickets are sold at the door for $3 per adult and $1 per child. All proceeds from ticket sales help the Kiwanis Club of Danville fund their multitude of community projects. For more information, visit http://www.danvillekiwanis.org.

The Builders Club from Danville Community Middle School will be accepting donations to the “Ernie’s Christmas Treat & Toy Drive,” benefiting the Hendricks County Humane Society. Movie-goers are encouraged to bring dog treats, dog toys, dog food, collars and leashes to donate as they enter the theater.

Ernie’s X-mas Treat and Toy Drive

Does your child have overdue fines in the media center? Would you like to see those

fines disappear? The media center and Builders Club will be giving students an

opportunity to do this throughout the month of December with our annual “Ernie's X-mas Treat and Toy Drive". Students who donate items for this drive will have their overdue book fines deleted in the media center. Those students who do not have overdue fines can still donate items to help out with this drive. All of our donations will be given to Hendricks County Animal Control/Shelter. Please help us give something special to the animals for Christmas by encouraging your child to donate. The following items are needed: cat litter, dog & puppy food, cat food, cleaning materials, and towels.

Also if students would like to donate a special Christmas gift for one of the animals at the shelter they may bring in one of the following: dog & cat treats, dog & cat toys, collars and/or leashes. All items must be new. Donation boxes will be in the media center. We will be taking money donations as well to purchase these products for the animals. Please contact Miss Seegers if you have questions about this program or how you can help. eseegers@danville.k12.in.us
