Castle Rock Communiqué

We love our Knights!

August 23, 2020 (Week Three)

Hello Castle Rock Families!

Thank you for your efforts this week in supporting your student with distance learning! We are busy at work settling into our new routines and helping everyone find their way around our virtual spaces. This last week saw our Spanish, computer, and physical education classes begin for students in grades 1 through 5. We are proud of our Knights for their continued efforts in all areas!

This week we continue to assess our students to determine areas of strength and growth. Teachers are using a variety of methods to determine where students need both extra help and enrichment. Parents, please remember that these assessments are vitally important to the learning plans we set in place for our students; while we want you to support your child, please do not assist during this time of testing. Knowing exactly what our students do and don't know helps us to design individualized learning plans that best meet their needs. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

Please encourage your child this week to do their best, be on time, and participate fully in class. Please also encourage your child to take the time during recess and lunch to step away from their screens and get some physical activity in! We want our students to be healthy physically, emotionally, and academically.

Have a great week, stay cool in this crazy hot weather, and we will see you online!
