What is Nebraska Child Find?
According to www.childfind.ne.gov, "Nebraska ChildFind provides information to parents, school personnel, and service providers on child development and special education for children from birth (or date of diagnosis) to age 21. ChildFind also helps parents access information on rights and resources to help them advocate for an appropriate education for their child."
The Nebraska ChildFind is a component of the Nebraska Early Development Network. The purpose of the Nebraska ChildFind is to provide service coordination and related services to families with infants and toddlers that experience developmental delays, genetic syndromes, medical impairments, as well as many other disabilities.
ChildFind Helps Parents Know their Rights
ChildFind provides resources to parents to help them understand their rights as parents, guardians, or foster parents of children with special education needs. They help with the following:

ChildFind Helps Parents Refer their Child for Evaluation
The ChildFind helps parents to arrange an evaluation if they are concerned about their child's development, behavior, or ability to learn.
There are two age categories that ChildFind helps to arrange evaluations for children.
- Birth to Three Years of Age (0-3)
- Three to Twenty-One Years of Age (3-21)
