Oak Ridge High School's Weekly Update
From Dr. LiVecchi
I hope this newsletter finds you well. With the calendar turning, and February in our sights, this is the time of year when seniors begin planning for graduation, and underclassmen begin planning for next school year.
Class of 2022
Seniors will have a meeting on February 2, 2022 during EN. The meeting will discuss prom, graduation, and other senior events. Herff Jones representative Kenney Holick will be on hand to help with any cap and gown ordering and announcement ordering. Oak Ridge Prom is April 23, 2022 at the Marriot Waterway. Tickets are purchased through school cash - under Senior Dues.
Graduation is scheduled for May 25, 2022 at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. We will share more information with Senior Parents as the events get closer.
Classes of 2023, 2024, and 2025
Course Registration will begin soon - and we will have an Academic Showcase on February 10, 2022 at 4:30 pm. The Showcase is open to all current Juniors, Sophomores, Freshman, and Incoming 9th Graders.
Clubs, Elective Courses, Honors, Advanced Placement, Dual Credit, and Level Course teachers and class descriptions will be available. We will also have our athletics and fine arts programs present in order to answer any questions you may have.
See your counselor for more information about Academic Showcase or Course Registration for the 2022-23 school year.
While we are starting to see a reduction in COVID positive cases at Oak Ridge, both with staff and students, we are still mindful of the impact that missing school has on student learning.
Please communicate with teachers and the counselor if your child will be out for an extended time due to illness or other reasons. The more knowledge we have the more we can support your child when they miss school.

I hope you have a great week and as always,
Go War Eagles!
