"The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education."

Local Heros

Theresa Chillemi finished her last day here at Parsons and will be moving to Level Creek ES. She is a charter staff member and was instrumental in getting the cafeteria up and running when Parsons ES opened its doors. We will miss Theresa's warm smile as she greets students each day and wish her the best.

FIP Module #3

Where we are: We have looked closely at the four types of learning targets and how this impacts our instructional practices and assessment of students. As a school, we will continue to revisit deconstructing learning targets and providing students the appropriate level of rigor as determined by the standard.

Our next steps: Please complete module #3 in preparation for our next FIP professional learning session on January 27, 2016.

STEM Night

We are preparing for our STEM Night (previously Math/Science Night) on Thursday, February 4, 2016 from 6:30 - 8:00 pm. This is a wonderful evening for our school community. Please let me or your grade level AP know if you will be able to provide assistance and/or host a learning station that evening. We will need to know who will be presenting, the activity, location and any supplies you may need. Thank you so much for your support!

Yearbook Proofs and Yearbook Sales

Don't forget to place your year book proof in the PTA Yearbook mailbox. Today is the deadline.

Also, Parsons ES yearbooks are still on sale! In previous years the PTA has SOLD OUT of pre-order yearbooks. Place your order now to guarantee you will receive your yearbook in May. Any extra or unexpected books received from the publisher in May will be sold to students and not to teachers/staff.

Week #2 will take place June 6 - June 10, 2016 here at Parsons. We will be in need of Host classroom teachers, teacher participants and student participants.
