Bus Riders
- Masks must be on prior to loading the bus
- We are not permitted to allow friends to ride the bus home with other friends; all students need to take their assigned bus home
- All bus riders should stay on the sidewalk/grass area until the buses are at a complete stop and the door has opened in order to cross the bus lot and load the bus
General Murphy Reminders
- Masks: Masks must be on prior to entering the building and must be covering the nose and mouth for the entirety of the day, unless eating in the cafeteria or outside
- Snacks: Food items should be eaten in the cafeteria only
- Extra Masks: You may want to have an extra mask on hand (backpack or locker) for emergencies, or if you feel like changing it throughout the day
- Temporary Distance Learning: Students placed on Temporary Distance Learning will receive an email from one of the health office staff at Murphy or from the district with the quarantine and TDL information attached. Once that is provided, then the classroom teacher will be able to allow a student into the classroom Meet Link for Temporary Distance Learning. Please understand that this could take a day or two while the health office staff is handling daily health procedures, routines, and concerns, but also information pertaining to quarantining students. While you are waiting for a member of the health office staff to contact you, the absence of the student is still considered excused.
Before School Drop-Off and After School Pick-Up
When dropping off or picking up in front of the school, please pull all the way up towards Door 1 in order to allow for more cars lined up to drop off or pick up. Be sure to leave the crosswalk clear for students and visitors to cross safely.
We thank you for your cooperation with following these laws in order to keep all of our students and families safe!
FASTBridge Benchmarking Assessment
The district has adopted a new benchmarking assessment for the 2021-2022 school year, called FASTBridge Learning. The Formative Assessment System for Teachers (FAST) is a set of reading and math assessments that teachers use to measure student learning. FAST scores provide information to teachers to help each student grow throughout the academic year. Please see the linked FASTBridge parent letter below for more information.
***All 8th grade students tested this week and all 6th and 7th grade students will test next week. Students will need their headphones for their FASTBridge testing next week.***
