News and Notes from the Principal
The weekend ahead brings an extended time for your student to be away from school, while hopefully taking the time to reset, relax and refocus on the remaining weeks left in the first semester. With a scheduled "Fall Break" October 11-12, many of our students will return to a slightly different format on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 with PSAT, SAT and MBF Teen Safety Matters Overview. Those 11th and 12th Grade students not registered to assess on October 13, 2021 will be able to take advantage of a prescriptive lesson through advisement as well as an opportunity to remediate, review and focus on any/all activities in their other classes through a Digital Learning Day approach. In order for their attendance to be recorded as present they will need to ensure they have completed the lesson posted in their advisement on Wednesday - these students will not report to RHHS on this day.
For 9th, 10th and Pre-Registered 11th and 12th Grade students their schedule and locations are listed below for your convenience. This information was also shared in advisement this past week so this will simply serve as a reminder regarding the location they need to report to on Wednesday, October 13, 2021. 11th and 12th Grade students will be dismissed upon assessment completion, bus routes will not run at an abbreviated schedule - they will need to ensure pre-planned pickup.
- 9Th Grade Students: Will complete MBF Teen Safety Matters Training with advisees. Upon completion, students will attend their respective 3rd and 4th Block classes.
- 10th Grade Students: Will complete the PSAT. Upon completion, students will attend their respective 3rd and 4th Block classes.
- 11th Grade Students:11th grade students not taking the PSAT will not report to campus as this day will serve as a Digital Learning Day, they will have a pre-planned advisement activity to complete. 11th Grade Students taking the PSAT will be dismissed upon completion.
- 12th Grade Students:12th grade students not pre-registered to take the SAT will not report to campus as this day will serve as a Digital Learning Day, they will have a pre-planned advisement activity to complete. 12th Grade Students taking the PSAT will be dismissed upon completion.
A few important reminders for Digital Learning Day:
- Pick-up for Junior and Seniors after PSAT/SAT will be in the Senior car lot.
- Students are responsible to bring their own calculator.
- Only Juniors and Seniors who have registered for PSAT (Jr) or SAT (Sr) should attend class face to face.
We look forward to returning to our regular schedule on Thursday, October 14, 2021. Enjoy the long weekend ahead, stay safe and take care!
