Safety at Sato
- Please know Safety and Security of every child is a top priority! As such we ask that our building be secured by second bell, 8:30am. You must check into the office and get a visitor's sticker or a volunteer badge if you are to be in the building. Thank you for your help and support!
- We had our first fire drill last week and it went well!
- Next week - same day as Picture Day we will have our Bus Evacuation Drill, where the bus drivers talk to students about safety on the bus and what to do in case of an emergency.
- Coming in October: an Earthquake Drill!
The Golden Rule
Lost and Found!
Want to avoid trips to the lost and found to look for that favorite sweater or new coat? Write your child's name with a sharpie on an interior tag! A simple way to make it much easier for us to find the owner and deliver the item directly to the classroom!
We've Got School Spirit!!
Exciting Author Visit for 3rd, 4th & 5th Grades:
Talented & Gifted in BSD
Every year students are considered for Talented and Gifted services in Beaverton School District. These services are provided by your child's classroom teacher(s). If you think your child might qualify, you may wish to complete the Parent Information Form that is available in our school’s office. Completing this form gives our school TAG committee more information about your child, but it is not required. All qualified students will be considered regardless of its completion.
Oregon law and District policy define gifted students as those who score at or above the 97th percentile on a standardized, nationally normed test of mental ability and/or academic achievement. Behavioral, learning, and/or performance information is also considered before a student is identified for TAG services.
The Parent Information Form must be completed and returned to our school’s TAG facilitators, Celena Rosenberger (Kindergarten Teacher), Lindsay Rodgers (3rd Grade), or the school’s office 503-356-2530.
