Notes from Anna
I wanted to tell you a bit about myself and about the ways I can help you from the new iTech help desk in the library. I worked IT at the OU Law Center for 7 years, supervising 20 undergrad students and doing tech support for classrooms, labs, helpdesk and 1:1 iPad deployment to law students and faculty. I have two daughters, one a freshman at NHS and one in 7th grade at Alcott. My husband Thad owns Turnkey Roofing and the Cafe Rica coffee truck that is across the street from NHS a few days a week.
With the deployment of nearly 10,000 Macbooks across the district Technology Services Center is changing its model for support at secondary sites, moving to a helpdesk model. In the Learning Commons, there is now a helpdesk intended to be the initial contact for all tech questions for students and staff. Through this helpdesk, we will be using a ticketing system to track tech requests. I will be staying at this desk as much as possible to address walk up and call in questions so that Paige can be in the classrooms.
If you have a technology help request please walk in, call (366-0561), or email (NHS-itech-help@norman.k12.ok.us). If your issue is with a laptop, please bring it to the iTech helpdesk. If you are needing help with in place technology such as a display/projector or hard drive, I will make an appointment with you to come and visit.
An integral part of our service plan is that the iTech students will be answering phones and emails, working on projects and going out with me when needed to help. You will be seeing them around the building, and they are able to assist you with many tech-related things as well!
