J.H. Williams Update
Week of August 7-11
From the Principal's Desk
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We hope this memo finds you well and excited for the upcoming school year! As we embark on a new academic journey, we are thrilled to introduce this year's theme: "All Hands on Deck." This theme embodies our collective efforts to create a successful and enriching educational experience for our students. "All Hands on Deck" signifies the importance of collaboration, teamwork, and involvement from all stakeholders – educators, parents, and students alike. Together, we can navigate the waters of learning, growth, and discovery, ensuring a voyage filled with academic achievements, personal development, and memorable experiences.
Here's what you can expect as we set sail with this theme:
Parent-Teacher Partnership: We encourage active engagement and open communication between parents and teachers. Your involvement plays a crucial role in your child's education. Be prepared for regular updates, parent-teacher conferences, and opportunities to participate in classroom activities during out 3rd Annual Literacy Spooktacular in October.
Student Empowerment: We will empower students to take ownership of their learning journey. Through interactive projects, group activities, and real-world applications, we aim to foster a sense of responsibility and enthusiasm for learning.
Community Involvement: The "All Hands on Deck" theme extends beyond the classroom. We will organize community events such at Stakeholders’ luncheons, fundraisers, and volunteer opportunities to strengthen the bonds between school, families, and the local community.
Celebrating Diversity: Just as a ship is made stronger by its diverse crew, our school community thrives on its diversity. We will celebrate and embrace our differences, promoting an inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone. We invite you to join us on this exciting voyage by attending our "All Hands on Deck" kick-off event at our Open House on September 6th at 5:00 p.m. in the school cafeteria. During this event, you'll have the opportunity to meet the teaching staff, learn more about our plans for the school year, and connect with other parents. Your involvement is integral to the success of our theme, and we look forward to working hand in hand as we navigate the challenges and joys of the new school year. Together, we will create a nurturing, inspiring, and empowering educational environment for our students. Thank you for your continued support, dedication, and enthusiasm. We can't wait to embark on this exciting journey with you and your child!
Sincerely,
Diane Comeaux, JHW Principal
