Tuscany Heights Elementary

Tuscany Heights is the 168th Lighthouse School in the Nation as recognized by Stephen Covey. Through student leadership, we grow leaders that encompass a growth mindset and establish lifelong skills that will support our students as they grow into adults. Our mission is a living action statement that we use to guide Team Tuscany, as we do great things for all.

"We, THE Tigers, will be inspired to LEAD, HONOR, and EXCEL today!"

Bailey's Bulletin

Parents,

Can you believe that it is April already? We are beginning to head into the final weeks of this school year. The month of April and May are extremely busy for students, parents, and staff. Stay informed about dates using the "Tuscany Happenings" below.

We have the following test dates for his week as well as the May test dates listed for you below. Please note the closed campus dates. The office remains open for all families and visitors. We close the building to visitors only to ensure the students have as little traffic moving about during testing. Thank you for understanding STAAR is the only full day closed campus dates.

In thinking about testing, we are certain the anxiety is high in the home of many of our 3rd-5th grade students, as it is for our staff involved in those grade levels. Please help us share with the students that they are far more than a test score. It can often be assumed or felt when practicing and reviewing skills, but each individual student has a high level of talent that isn't just reading and math. We see it daily! We honor them for all of their special qualities, and enjoy watching them grow.

For April and May, please note the following dates for state testing. The school will be closed full day to campus visitors and volunteers on these dates to provide a safe, secure, and quiet testing environment for our students. As always, the office will remain open. However, the building will be secure all day. We often have students testing throughout the building in small groups. Some students have extended time, and they will take the day to test. Thank you for noting these dates and planning your schedules with these dates in mind.

STAAR Testing Dates- Our campus will be a CLOSED Campus ALL DAY on the following dates in April and May due to state testing. Closed Campus means the building is closed to visitors and volunteers while we have students testing in grades 3-5 testing. Thank you for understanding:

4th Grade Writing STAAR & 5th Grade Math STAAR- April 9th- CLOSED TO VISITORS & VOLUNTEERS

5th Grade Reading STAAR- April 10th- CLOSED to VISITORS & VOLUNTEERS

Proud Principal,

Tara Bailey
