Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: Can parents drop off their children and come back for pick up?
A: Parents are able to drop off their children for class and return at the end of class to pick them up. We do ask that parents be on time and come in to get their children.

Q: When is tuition due?
A: Tuition will be due the first Monday of the month. If there is a problem with making this payment please see the business manager Amy Dickerson or Owner/Instructor Leo Aponte.

Q: Does my child have to have a GI to participate in class?
A: We do prefer for all children to have a GI for class as we do a lot of drills working with the GI's. Also each child will receive their white belt along with purchasing their GI. Please see either Amy Dickerson or Leo Aponte in regards to getting a GI.

Q: How do my children promote?
A: Promoting is based on not only the attendance record but also the knowledge of the he or she has learned in class. There is a four strip achievement on top of each belt color. For example a child will receive their first promotion stripe after six classes as long as he or she can test accordingly.

Q: Are academics or extra curricular events a factor in participating?
A: Yes, we at Target Martial Arts Academy cannot stress enough how important academics are to us. Our kids from the youngest of age will be recognized for academic achievements as well as community or extra curricular activities. If a child is struggling we will do whatever we can to help ensure they improve their grades whether we help find a tutor, talk to your child, or simply keep encouraging them. It is important for parents to keep us informed to ensure our kids can receive the praise deserved.
