Friday, March 22 is a SIP Day. School will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m. and there is no attendance for Pre-K, Early Childhood and Kindergarten. District 41 spring break begins Monday, March 25. Classes will resume on Monday, April 1. For the full 2018-19 School Calendar click here.

The next Board Coffee and Conversation will take place on Wednesday, April 17 starting at 6:30 p.m. at Hadley Junior High. All members of the District 41 community are invited to this opportunity to engage with Board members.

Professional string clinicians helped the Hadley String Orchestra students prepare for the Illinois Grade School Music Association District Organization Contest that will be held on March 16. Ms. Virginia Dixon, bass professor from Elmhurst College, Ms. Ann Griffin, principal cellist of the Chicago Sinfonietta Orchestra, and Ms. Dorothy Shaw, concert violinist, assisted smaller sections of the orchestra. Mr. Frank Lestina, DePaul University Professor, assisted the full Hadley String Orchestra consisting of 70 students. "It is this type of experience that helps our orchestra grow to achieve higher levels of learning and performance skills," stated Ms. Georgia Alemis, Hadley Orchestra Director. Ms. Alemis and the orchestra students want to sincerely thank the Hadley PTA for their most generous donation and for providing this special educational experience. Thank you, Hadley PTA!
