An Arthropoda, is and invertebrate animal having an exoskeleton, external skeleton, a segmented body, and jointed appendages. Arthropods are members of the phylum, Arthropoda. Their cuticles are mainly made from chitin and their body plan consists of repeated segments, each with a pair of appendages. Many live underwater and ocassionaly come onto land.
You can observe the segmented body of the arthropod and the antennae, as well as the jointed legs.
The abdomen of the crayfish is segmented. Ventral side. Jointed legs can be observed.
Dorsal side. The crayfish has jointed legs as well as antennae.
