Football Game Reminders
1. All LVES and LVIS students must be accompanied by an adult guardian at all times. Students are not permitted on the practice field at any point during football games.
2. Standing, loitering, or horseplay under and around the stadium stands, concession stands, practice field, or any other area is prohibited. Revealing, provocative and/or inappropriate dress will not be allowed, nor will inappropriate behaviors or foul language. Repeat offenders will be required to leave the stadium and campus.
3. Once inside the stadium, middle school and high school students with a student ticket will be allowed to sit in the designated student area on the home side of the stadium. Students may sit in the reserved or general admission sections only if they are under the supervision of an adult guardian.
4. The use of alcohol, controlled substances, tobacco, and vapes are prohibited on school premises.
5. Outside food and drinks are not permitted inside the gates. We have a wonderful Booster Club that provides a full concession stand of food and drinks for you to purchase throughout the game.
6. Face masks must be worn at all times by ALL fans in the stands. This includes all elementary aged students. Fans should social distance and sit in designated areas, and exit stadium immediately following the game. Fans are not allowed on the track after the game ends.
Lago Vista ISD appreciates everyone’s cooperation and support as we work to keep a safe and enjoyable environment at Viking football games.

Window for Changing Instructional Settings for 2nd Nine Weeks Ends Tonight at 11:59 pm
FINAL DAY TO REQUEST A CHANGE IN INSTRUCTIONAL SETTING FOR YOUR CHILD IS TODAY! THE WINDOW CLOSES TONIGHT AT 11:59 PM.
Parents who have selected the remote instructional setting for their student may choose to change to face-to-face beginning the second nine weeks by submitting a request form this week (September 21 - 25). Parents who did not opt into bus transportation during registration may also request to be added to bus transportation for the second nine weeks. Changes requested this week will take effect the second nine weeks, which begins on October 14th.
Please note that we are still requesting that parents who are able to transport their children please continue to do so. Our ability to maintain appropriate physical distancing on school buses remains limited and we appreciate our parents' support in helping us limit ridership to those with the greatest need.
To request a change to face-to-face instruction or bus transportation, please complete the online form below. You must complete one form per student.
https://forms.gle/Ydu8M2nC3o2ce6qs8
This online form will close on September 25th at 11:59pm. In order to allow the necessary adjustments to accommodate the requests, no changes will be accepted after this form is closed.
Again, please note that changes requested using this form will take effect the second nine weeks, which begins on October 14th.
We invite parents to visit www.lagovistaisd.net to view our Return-to-School Plans (in English and in Spanish) to review information on face-to-face instructional protocols and procedures for bus transportation.
Please be aware that as each grading period allows for parents to request changes, our campus must adjust accordingly. While we strive to maintain as much consistency as possible for our students, requests for changes may result in teacher changes. Even those NOT requesting a change in the instructional setting may be impacted and result in a teacher change as we shift teacher assignments to and from face-to-face and virtual to accommodate change requests.
Free and Reduced Meal Applications Due October 1st
As a reminder, we ask all eligible families complete an application for Free & Reduced Lunch by October 1st.
Even if your student is a remote learner or doesn't participate in school meals, there are benefits to filling out the application for both your student and for our schools.
Where can I find the application?
Our application is online this year! You may access it by clicking on the links below:
Free Reduced Lunch Application (English)
Free Reduced Lunch Application (Spanish)
Do I need to fill out an application for each student?
No. To qualify for meal benefits, a parent/guardian must complete a meal benefits application each school year regardless of meal status from the previous school year. Only one (1) application is needed per household.
How do I know if my child is eligible for Free/Reduced meals?
Eligibility for free and reduced-price meals is based on household size and family income. Please see the attached income eligibility guidelines.
What if my student was approved for Free & Reduced meals last year?
Your child’s application is only good for that school year and for the first few days of this school year. You must send in a new application each year.
My student doesn't participate in school meals, but is eligible. Why should I apply?
Even if your child does not eat school lunch, students who qualify also can receive other benefits like reduced fees for SAT and ACT tests and college applications, as well as reduced fees for Lago Vista ISD's Optional iPad Coverage.
Some people have heard that it is only necessary to fill out this form if you want your child to qualify for free or reduced-price school lunch. In fact, studies show that many eligible students do not complete this form each year, in particular families with middle school and high school students. The truth is that it is important for EVERY eligible family to fill out this form, even if you don't plan on participating in the school meal program, because doing so helps bring much needed supplemental funding and services to your child's school and to Lago Vista ISD.
If I don't qualify now, may I apply later?
Yes, you may apply at any time during the school year. For example,
children with a parent or guardian who becomes unemployed may become eligible for free and reduced price meals if the household income drops below the income limit.
Who do I contact if I have questions?
If you have any questions, please reach out to our Director of School Nutrition Services, Stacey Widdecombe, at (512) 267-8300 x1516
