In-Person School Postponed
Main Points from the Superintendent's Message
Dear ASD Families and Community,
This is a recap of Dr. Bishop’s message from 11/8/2020.
- • Based on the increasing numbers of COVID 19 in the community, schools will not re-open for students as planned on November 16th.
- • Current conditions are threatening our health care capacity.
- • Another update from Dr. Bishop will occur on November 15th.
- • If you need help with community or school resources, please call 742-HELP.
ASD wants students back in schools and continues to plan as conditions allow. Please wear a mask, social distance, wash your hands and follow Municipal and State health mandates. If we all do our part, we will be able to get students and staff back to school where they love to be.
Sincerely,
Dr Bishop
Superintendent

Last night our superintendent Dr. Bishop postponed the return of Preschool~2nd grade to in-person learning. This has been a tumultuous school year and we are all striving to adjust to the ups and downs of school during a global pandemic. I want to acknowledge the hardships and effort that students, families, and staff has gone through to try to achieve a sense of normalcy. I also wanted to reach out and let you know that we miss our Fairview Family and we look forward to seeing everyone back on campus safely! The staff worked very hard to prepare the campus for in-person school. We will be ready when it is safe for us to be on campus together!
I will communicate openly as ASD releases more information. In the meantime, please have the students attend the live Zoom lessons, complete online assignments, and practice their skills on iReady every day! Please don't hesitate to contact the school with any questions!
May your family be blessed with good health and positive spirits.
Mrs. Teekell-Opitz
