If your child was absent or tardy due to a doctor's appointment or illness verified by a doctor, please ask for a doctor's note and either email to the above address or have them fax to 304-264-5059. Please note that if we do not receive a note the absence/tardy is considered unexcused.

Technology Tidbits

iPad running slowly or having connection issues? Do the following three things each evening to help your student's iPad run more efficiently.

1. Charge the iPad to 100%.

2. Clear the browser history.

3. Close out all apps.

To clear the browser history: Open the Safari app and hold your finger on the double box in the top right corner. A small window will pop up and let you choose to close all tabs at once or close the tabs one at a time.

To close out all apps: Double click the home button on the iPad. All of the open apps will appear as small boxes. Swipe each small box up to the top of the iPad. It will disappear and the app will be closed.

Guidance Corner

College Application and Exploration Week will be celebrated November 2-6th. College Application and Exploration Week is a chance for the entire school community to discuss college options and to promote college-going. Hundreds of elementary schools, middle schools, high schools and adult basic education classes across West Virginia participate each year. In honor of this, we invite students, parents, and staff to wear a t-shirt or sweatshirt displaying their favorite college/university.

**Sneak peak into December** - watch for information about our "Virtual Snowman Dash 5k" to be held December 1-5.
