Professional Development Plans for 2019-2020:
Parent Orientation
School Re-entry Safety Drill
If a student were to mistakenly head to the playground or another area when they don't have an adult with them, they would not be able to get back in. Please teach your students how to walk to our front entry, press the call button, and be let back in.
Classroom teachers, please record the date you discussed this and completed a drill of walking students out and then back in here: School Re-Entry Safety Drill. Date for drill completion is August 30th.
Indoor Recess Plan
It is imperative that teachers be on time returning at the end of recess, especially for indoor recess. There is no travel time for supervisors between classrooms so if Teacher A is late, Teacher B will be left waiting.
Any questions? Please ask!
NWEA Window A Schedule
There is a Schoology course that reviews administration of the test. While this course was designed with new teachers in mind, it would also be a good resource for returning teachers who need a refresher. To access the course:
- Enter Schoology through the Park Hill Portal.
- Select "My Courses"
- Select "Join a Course"
- Enter the following access code: CDNX7-JHTTZ
Panorama SEL Survey
The Panorama SEL (Social Emotional Learning) inventory for students will be open from Monday, August 19 to Friday, September 20. All students grades 3-12 should take the SEL inventory. This is about the student’s self-perception and measures grit, self-management, emotion regulation, etc. The Panorama SEL inventory creates a student report and also is used for our CSIP/BSIP measure 1.2 “SEL index.” This is not the student survey about the school climate, which will take place 9/1 – 10/4.
For all Panorama student surveys, students can go to https://surveys.panoramaed.com/parkhill and enter their S-number.
Specific email regarding these procedures will be emailed to 3rd-5th grade teachers this week.
2019-2020 Duty Schedules
3rd-5th Grade: Digital Citizenship Activity
Students who do not submit a passing assessment by September 3 will have their accounts disabled until it is completed/passed.
Please put this important activity on your lesson plans now so as not to lose sight of it!
Safe Schools Training
Don’t forget to complete the annual required “Safe Schools Training” by October 15th. All support staff who are paid hourly must complete the trainings onsite, timing in and out through Kronos.
Trainings are located in the Park Hill Portal, where you will click on the “Safe Schools” icon. Your login is the same as your email login. Please see the office should you have any questions or difficulties in completing the trainings.
