5 Things To Remember...

Welcome To The 6th Grade!

Welcome to the 6th Grade! Your goal this year is to be you and be a representive to the 4th and 5th Graders. To help you succeed in the 6th grade the teacher are there and they understand how it may be tough rather it is making new friends, having new teachers or even challenges but all the teachers here at Emis are here for you and they have been there for me and I would like to say thankyou for these awesome years at Emis.


You will have lots of expectations in the 6th Grade so get ready. In the 6th Grade sometimes you just have to lower your expectations to avoid many unnecessary disappointments because I did all my work and also turned it all in on time, no late work so if I can do it you can do it every week you will have the things below so get ready!

Reading Log

Each Week you will have a reading log that has five sections and needs to be completed and turned in on monday you get the reading log every monday and you turn the reading log in the next monday. You have 6 expections for the reading and they are...

1. I will challenge myself to find a book on or above my reading level.!

2. I will find a quiet place to read continuously for 20+ minutes without distractions.!
3. I will analyze what I have read to help me fully answer the questions using complete sentences.!
4. I will communicate with my parent/guardian/teacher about when I begin and end my reading.!

5. I will respectfully ask my parent/guardian to sign off on my reading log *after I have completed it. !

6. I will budget my time and bring my completed reading log to class every Monday.!

Passage/ Novels

When the EOG is coming it is going to be your worst nightmare coming true but at the end you will be glad you got it over with. Before you start these passages you have centers were you go around to each 6th grade teacher and they teach you something useful for the EOG and after that the week next and the week intil the EOG you will have like 2 weeks and 1 passage each night to do that is long but once you are doing the EOG your going to love Mrs.Izzo and how she gave you this and all the work I mean I sure did! So you will to!
