March 17 Election: 32 days away
The last operating levy was passed by voters in 2014 and promised to last four years. It has now been more than five years since the district started receiving tax collections on that levy, which specifically was intended to improve the Loveland education by expanding programs and services for our students. To learn more about these investments, which have resulted in excellent student achievement and academic progress across the district, follow our series of videos over the next several weeks. The first video is published below.

Flu and cold season is here!
It’s that time of year - flu and cold season! We are doing everything we can to prevent the spread of viruses in the schools:
- We bleach/disinfect classrooms on a daily basis. High-touch point areas as well as rooms that have been identified with known cases are being targeted in all buildings.
- Buses are also disinfected.
- Handwashing presentations have been shared with students. Handwashing, cough into the sleeve, and “stay away from the T-zone” (hands out of the face) were emphasized.
- We monitor the situation, including staff and student attendance, and more readily send children home if they show symptoms.
What YOU can do:
- Reinforce the handwashing procedures with your child at home.
- Keep sick students (fever, vomiting, constant cough, diarrhea) home for 24 hours after symptoms. If medication is needed to keep the fever down, please do not send your child to school.
- Hydration, sleep, and eating well will help to keep the immune system strong.
Kindergarten registration for 2020-2021 is now open
The Loveland City School District has begun registration for the 2020-2021 Kindergarten class. If your child will be five years old on or before September 30, 2020, please click here for Kindergarten FAQs to see information about half-day and full-day options for next year. (The FAQs now include updated information regarding tuition.) If you are interested in the full-day lottery, your child’s enrollment form, required documentation and $75 deposit must be completed by Friday, March 6. An informative Kindergarten Round-Up event for parents only will take place 6:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 19 at Loveland Early Childhood Center (LECC). Please let your family members, neighbors and friends know it’s time to enroll for Kindergarten!
Reminder: Inclement weather information for 2019-20
The Loveland City School District operates on a two-hour delay schedule for weather-related delays. This means all buildings will begin classes on a two-hour delay from regular start times, and all buses will run on a two-hour delay to pick up students. (Read more.)
