Culver's Night Thanks
We appreciate all of our friends and families supporting us throughout the school year by attending a Culver's Fundraising Night! AFSA earns 10% of all food sales for each of our fundraising nights. That money goes to help put on a variety of activities and events at both the high school and elementary school. Watch for next year's schedule coming soon!
Thank you for your support of AFSA K-12!
COVID-19 Testing and Vaccination Information
Local COVID rates remain low, so the face covering policy is paused until further notice. All staff and students may make their own decision about wearing or not wearing a face covering while on the bus, at school or at school activities. We will be monitoring the rates of COVID throughout the rest of the school year and if needed, the face covering policy could be reinstated.
COVID-19 Guidelines:
Updated guides on what to do if you test positive for COVID and what to do if you are a close contact with someone who tests positive for COVID are attached to this newsletter.
COVID-19 Vaccinations:
Check out the following resources from the State of Minnesota and Ramsey County regarding vaccines and boosters:
COVID-19 vaccines are free for Minnesotans. For more information about COVID-19 vaccines and where to get one go to: https://mn.gov/covid19/vaccine/find-vaccine/index.jsp
Ramsey County has information on community vaccine clinics, pop-up clinics and more. Go to: https://www.ramseycounty.us/covid-19-info/covid-19-vaccine#1
COVID-19 Testing:
Minnesotans can order two test kits per home (for a total of four tests) at Order your free at-home rapid tests. Minnesotans can also place orders through the Minnesota Department of Health COVID-19 Public Hotline at 1-833-431-2053 Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Language assistance is available.
Minnesotans can find up-to-date guidance on when to get tested at COVID-19 Testing.
Through the federal government, Minnesotans can order free rapid at-home tests at CovidTests.gov. Food banks, local public health agencies, community groups, and other community health organizations may also have free tests available.
Costs for over-the-counter at-home COVID-19 tests are now required to be covered by health plans offered by insurance companies, employers, and groups under actions taken by the Biden Administration. In some circumstances, Minnesotans can receive free tests by showing their insurance card at a store. Minnesotans should check with their health plan prior to purchasing at-home tests to ensure they are following the steps necessary to have costs covered.
Anyone can walk in or schedule an appointment for a test at one of the state’s free COVID-19 Community Testing sites or find a testing option near them through the state’s Find Testing Locations map.
