Ms. Ingle's Messages

Week of January 3

Welcome Back!

I am very excited to start the second half of 5th grade with you!! We are nearly 80 days down and just 100 to go! :)

I hope you are all well rested and ready to hit the ground running.

I want to say a HUGE thank you to all of you for the amazing and thoughtful Christmas gifts you sent! I feel so loved and appreciated. I am so happy to be a part of such a wonderful school family! Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

New Media Coordinator

As many of you know, we now have a new media coordinator at Claxton. Please feel free to stop by and welcome her! Please enjoy the note from Ms. Brown below.

Greetings Claxton family!

My name is Amy Brown and I am thrilled to say that I will be stepping in as the new media coordinator in January! I look forward to meeting each of you but, until then, wanted to take the opportunity to introduce myself.

I have had the fortune to call Asheville home since 2008, having moved here after seven years living abroad in Mexico. While in Mexico, I taught sixth grade at an American school and here in the US I worked in public schools in Migrant Education, Family Literacy and ESL programs. In my spare time I love to cook, garden, run, read (of course!) and spend time with my husband, three year old daughter and five month old baby girl.

From what I’ve observed already at Claxton, it really seems to be a special place where teachers and staff truly care about their students. I believe strongly in working together as a professional community and in providing a welcoming environment where students develop real enthusiasm for reading and learning. I look forward to working with you and being part of your team!

Wishing you all a restful and happy winter break~Amy
